Circle of Friends Blanket

Project Specs
Pattern: Circle of Friends Blanket from Last Minute Knitted Gifts
Yarn: Elann Peruvian Collection Highland Wool
Needle Size: Varied per knitter, from sizes 6 to 9
Project Notes: I definitely can't take full credit for this one. It was knitted by my knitting group at work for our director's baby. There were 6 of us that completed the blanket, including a brand new knitter who made this her first project! It was easy enough for the newbies to knit, and everyone was able to complete their piece fairly quickly. I think the most challenging aspect of this project was getting everyone's gauge to match. Of course not every strip was exactly the same, but I think that's part of the charm of the project because those subtle differences show that it was knit by several different people. I had the pleasure of sewing the strips together. This was the most time consuming part, but sewing the garter ridges together was easy. All-in-all this was a great project, and the recipient really loved it.
