Project Specs:
This purse was a Christmas gift for my brother's girlfriend. I love the way it turned out. The fabrics are both Alexander Henry prints, and I love them. I want to make one exactly like it for myself. Ironically the pattern I used was a Sewing Pattern For Dummies pattern, and if I didn't already have some idea about what I was doing, it would have been nearly impossible to follow. The photos didn't really outline the steps of construction so well, and despite the fact that there were only a few pieces to sew together, the construction seemed somewhat complex. The bag also really worked out my sewing machine, which apparently doesn't handle thick fabric well. The bag had a fleece layer, which added some stiffness to the bag, but made it a little more difficult to sew.
