Needle Size: US 3
Project Notes: This was a great knit, very fast and very fun. I knit this with a friend of mine who just learned to knit a few months ago, and she was able to complete the project quickly and easily as well. The skull pattern was constructed in a way that was very easy to remember, so I didn't have to look at the chart every few stitches. Unfortunately I don't have a shot of me modeling this hat because it's a bit too small. Not because the gauge was off , but because my head is too big! I figured that because I'm a small person, my head probably would be small too, and I thought that the pattern size would work. However, when I realized it was going to be too small and I actually measured my head, it was about an inch and a half larger than the hat size, and much to my horror, only a half inch smaller than my husband's head! Now I have a complex, and the hat will likely be gifted to a friend with a smaller head. I do plan on knitting this again, one needle size up. It was so fast and so fun, why not make one that fits? I'm also planning a black and white version for my brother. I wonder if big heads fun in the family.
